Hi Michele, Thank you for this message, we are excited to hear you've subscribed to the list and we greatly appreciate your feedback. In reaction to your question, we drafted the action plan to have a text to work from. The action plan is not written in stone, and as a matter of fact, we are actively looking for inputs and intend to update it to reflect the contributions from the group. In terms of the contents of the plan, our intention was precisely to focus on constructive, positive conversation: how can we do better, address governance gaps, and reinforce forms of multi stakeholder cooperation on DNS related issues. As much as these conversations play out in other spaces, we find the DC has much to contribute to ongoing IGF discussions as well. Having said this, it would be great to know whether you have any specific elements or language that you would like to see reflected in the plan so we can discuss those here in the list. Carolina et al I’ve added myself to the new mailing list as I am curious to see where this group is going. I am, however, a little confused as to why the group was not consulted in the drafting of the “work plan” before it was made public. With respect to the work plan, why is it so focussed on the negative? There are already plenty of fora for more interminable discussions around “abuse”, cyber security threats (which are much broader than the DNS) and other elements. Dear Carolina - and all, In the recent times my main interest has shifted from DNS matters to issues related to multilingualism in the Internet. I know that multilingualism has aspects that are related to the DNS, like for instance IDNs, but my focus is now more on a cultural point of view rather than a technical point of view. I will therefore not join the new mailing list, but plan to nevertheless attend the DC-DNSI session, that I have marked on my calendar.
